Description
Assessment & Planning: Evaluate clients physical, cognitive, emotional, and social abilities through observation and standardized assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals. Therapy Implementation: Deliver therapeutic interventions focused on improving self-care, motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and daily functioning. Use adaptive techniques and equipment as needed. Client & Family Education: Train clients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive strategies, and home programs to reinforce therapy goals outside of sessions. Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, speech therapists, doctors, special educators, and social workers to deliver coordinated care. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, therapy sessions, and discharge plans. Prepare reports as required by the organization or funding agencies. Equipment & Environment Modification: Recommend and guide the use of assistive devices, mobility aids, or environmental modifications to support independence in daily life. Requirements Strong knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and rehabilitation principles Skilled in sensory integration, fine motor coordination, and ADL training Empathetic, patient-centered approach Excellent observation, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt therapy for various age groups and conditions Teamwork and collaborative mindset Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive tools ","
