Our client, a leading organization in finance and news and media industry, is looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Segment Producer with a strong background in hard news, and a proven ability to deliver compelling, accurate, and timely content. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-energy newsroom, shape real-time news coverage and deliver impactful, engaging stories to audiences around the world. This is a 6-month contract role based in Mumbai, and the candidates are expected to be onsite. We are seeking a segment producer in Mumbai to complement the team. You will research, organize and produce editorially relevant guest conversations as part of our daily TV programming, and contribute to other multimedia platforms from time to time. You must be able to communicate effectively, to give guidance and direction to anchors, reporters and other staff, as well as have relationship-building people skills. The ideal candidate will show excellent news judgement to produce quality broadcasts and have knowledge of business news and financial markets. Key Responsibilities: Research and pitch segment ideas Book and coordinate arrangement with interviewees Organize necessary graphics & video, write for broadcast Develop relationships within the business, finance and public relations communities Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience booking and/or producing for live TV Knowledge of business news and the financial markets Familiarity with digital media platforms and integration Project ownership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure Fluency in written and verbal English communication Flexibility with hours and early morning start times Good to have: Field production experience Familiarity with market data, economic indicators, and financial institutions Experience coordinating live news coverage across time zones Multilingual capabilities Unfortunately, we are only able to contact applicants who are successful to the interview stage.
