Description: Position Purpose The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects across HydraChem Pty Ltd's core service lines, including Oil Conditioning as a Service (OCaaS), pressure testing, chemical cleaning, oil flushing, and mechanical commissioning. This role ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and safety standards. The Project Manager acts as the key point of contact between the client, operations team, and subcontractors, maintaining full accountability for project outcomes. Key Responsibilities PROJECT PLANNING & EXECUTION: Develop project execution plans, work schedules, and resource allocations in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Coordinate and supervise the delivery of field services in line with HydraChem standards. Lead the preparation and review of project documentation, including test packs, ITPs, P&ID markups, and reports. Monitor progress against key project milestones and adjust resources or schedules as needed. CLIENT & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT Serve as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring expectations are understood and met. Maintain proactive communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Lead project meetings, updates, and close-out reporting. HSEQ COMPLIANCE Ensure projects are executed in accordance with HydraChem's Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) policies. Support site risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permit to work processes. Identify and escalate operational risks or deviations from procedures. TEAM COORDINATION Supervise site-based crews, subcontractors, and suppliers during project delivery. Ensure all personnel are properly briefed, inducted, and competent for the assigned work. Support employee performance reviews and development feedback. COST CONTROL & REPORTING Track project costs, variations, and expenses against budget. Provide weekly and monthly reporting to management, including status updates, productivity metrics, and financial forecasts. Assist in procurement, supplier engagement, and change order management. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to improve procedures and planning. Contribute to the development of standardised workpacks and repeatable project frameworks. Stay current with industry trends, technology, and compliance changes. Good budgeting skills and ability to reduce costs without making adjustments that would affect quality. 5+ years of experience in project management within oil & gas, power generation, or industrial services. Strong technical knowledge of pressure testing, chemical cleaning, oil flushing, or mechanical commissioning. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines. Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and document management systems. Ability to work on tight deadlines. Class C Driver’s Licence (manual). Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols. A positive National Police Security Check Report. DESIRABLE: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 55000, API standards, and HSEQ management systems.
