Business Context

Moative is looking for a Data Science Project Manager to lead a long-term engagement for a Houston-based utilities company. As part of this engagement, we will develop advanced AI/ ML
models for load forecasting, energy pricing, trading strategies and related areas. We have a team of high performing data scientists and ML engineers based in Chennai, India, and an on-site project manager in Houston TX, US.

Work you will do

Client Engagement: You will act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding the data science requirements, discussions and planning. You will also support the onsite project manager in managing client needs and expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Who you are

Requirements and skills

• 8+ years of experience in applying data science methods to develop models that extract
  business value from real-world data. Experience in Energy & Utilities domain or nancial risk/ commodities pricing /trading would be a plus
• 3+ years of experience in leading data science teams to develop and deliver data science,
  machine learning and AI solutions and products.
• Deep familiarity with a range of data science methods and algorithms (time-series analysis, regression analysis, experimental design, optimization, etc.)
• Strong understanding of ML algorithms including areas such as deep learning, NN, NLP, and
  more.
• Proficient Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and MLOps practices and platforms like MLow.
• Broad understanding of data structures, data engineering and architectures.
• Strong interpersonal skills, result-oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and capable of
  handling multiple projects.
• Ability to work in collaborative settings, take accountability, and stay composed under
  stress.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to eectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and eciently.
