Business Context Moative is looking for a Data Science Project Manager to lead a long-term engagement for a Houston-based utilities company. As part of this engagement, we will develop advanced AI/ ML models for load forecasting, energy pricing, trading strategies and related areas. We have a team of high performing data scientists and ML engineers based in Chennai, India, and an on-site project manager in Houston TX, US. Work you will do As a Data Science Project Manager, you have a dual role as a data scientist and as a project manager. You will engage with clients, understand business priorities, and discuss data science solution/ algorithm approaches. You will coordinate with the onsite project manager to manage project timelines and deliver high-quality results. You will also support service delivery via regular client communications, set the right expectations, gather feedback and ensure the engagement is in good health. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will oversee the activities of junior data scientists and analysts. You will ensure that the offshore team is working smoothly, remove any roadblocks and guide them on data science/ engineering/ business fronts as the need may be. Deep familiarity with a range of data science methods and algorithms (time-series analysis, regression analysis, experimental design, optimization, etc.) Strong understanding of ML algorithms including areas such as deep learning, NN, NLP, and more.
