Position Overview

Project Manager – Mining

mining engineering

Key Responsibilities

Lead the
end-to-end delivery
of mining projects, including feasibility studies, project planning, execution, and performance optimization.
Engage with senior client stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable project plans.
Provide
technical and strategic advisory
for both underground and open-pit mining projects.
Coordinate
multi-disciplinary teams
including geologists, mining engineers, financial analysts, and environmental consultants.
Oversee
budgets, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards
across all project phases.
Develop
business cases, proposals, and comprehensive reports
for clients.
Ensure strict adherence to
regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance
requirements.
Contribute to
business development initiatives
by identifying opportunities and supporting client pitches.
Mentor junior consultants and support internal capability building and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
from
ISM Dhanbad
–
Mandatory
MBA from IIM
–
Mandatory
3–10 years of total experience
, including at least
5 years in a mining consulting environment
(preferably within a Big 4 firm).
Proven track record of managing and delivering
large-scale mining projects
on time and within budget.
Hands-on project management experience in both
underground and opencast mining projects
(highly preferred).
Familiarity with leading
mining software/tools
(e.g., Surpac, MineSched, Datamine) is an advantage.
Strong understanding of
global mining standards, safety regulations, and sustainability practices
.
Exceptional
communication, leadership, and stakeholder management
skills.
