Job Summary: The Project Manager for DBaaS will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to our cloud-based Database as a Service platform. You will collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps, security, and customer success teams to ensure projects align with strategic goals, meet deadlines, and adhere to budget constraints. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in cloud databases, agile methodologies, and exceptional leadership to drive innovation and scalability in our DBaaS offerings. Key Responsibilities: Project Lifecycle Management: o Oversee projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives. o Define scope, create timelines, allocate resources, and manage budgets. Cross-Functional Coordination: o Work with engineering on development, product teams on requirements, DevOps on deployment, and security on compliance. Risk & Issue Management: o Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project bottlenecks. Stakeholder Communication: o Provide regular updates to executives and clients, manage expectations, and deliver status reports. Quality Assurance: o Ensure deliverables meet performance, security, and scalability standards through testing and feedback loops. Budget Oversight: o Track expenses, optimize costs, and report financial metrics. Documentation & Process Improvement: o Maintain project documentation and refine processes for efficiency. Vendor Management: o Collaborate with third-party vendors and cloud providers (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL). Qualifications : Education: o Bachelor s in Computer Science, IT, or related field. PMP or Agile certification preferred. Experience: o 5+ years in project management, preferably with cloud services/DBaaS. Experience with database migrations and multi-cloud environments is a plus. Technical Skills: o Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), DevOps tools (CI/CD, Terraform), and monitoring systems. Project Management Skills: o Expertise in Agile/Scrum, Jira, Trello, and risk management frameworks. Soft Skills: o Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of data security compliance and SLA management. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tools.
