Construction Head-Job Description

The Construction Head is responsible for overall leadership and management of construction projects, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery while maintaining quality standards. This role involves planning, resource allocation, team management, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive successful project execution across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all construction activities from start to finish.

Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project goals

Oversee onsite and offsite construction operations ensuring compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams, providing direction and resolving issues.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.

Liaise with architects, engineers, clients, and government officials to align project objectives.

Handle contract negotiations, procurement of materials, and ensure contractual obligations are met.

Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of delays or disruptions.

Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Foster a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement within the construction team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in construction management with proven leadership skills.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency with construction management software and tools.
