Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Experienced in managing and supervising Firefighting & Engineering projects. Company: ITCOT LIMITED Location: Chennai Employment Type: Full Time Experience: 6 to 7 Years Job Description: Key Responsibilities: · Prepare, schedule, coordinate, monitor and control assigned engineering projects. · Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. · Collaborate effectively with the client and contractor team. · Lead multiple projects and partner with management to resolve conflicts and obtain necessary resources. · Supervise firefighting and other engineering projects. · Overall Project Management, including: ü Management of supply and construction. ü Quality management. ü Site supervision. · Technical support during the project execution stage. · Review and recommendations for the approval of technical documents provided by the contractor, including BOQ, data sheets, drawings and technical specifications. · Coordination during kick-off meetings and periodic progress review meetings. · Review of QS & as-built drawings provided by the contractor. · Preparation of presentations for review of project progress for the client. · Witnessing inspection and testing of all major equipment involved in the project at manufacturers' works. · Preparation of a list of incomplete jobs and defects, if any, to be attended by the Contractor/supplier. · Maintaining the progress of work in MS project · Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors and internal teams. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering. Experience: 6 to 7 years of relevant experience in the mechanical engineering field. Proven experience in firefighting or other fire and safety projects. Skills: ü Strong project management and technical skills. ü Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ü Proficiency in using project management tools like MS Project and other softwares. ü Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards. Note: Candidates must have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on firefighting projects. Experience in managing and supervising such projects is highly preferred.
