Project Engineering Entry Professional - Structural Steel

Role Overview: You will be a part of the GIS Steel Structural Engineering team at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) in Chennai. Your main responsibility will be to support project engineers and lead engineers in developing project-specific engineering documents and drawings for the submission to customers, as well as manufacturing Steel Support Structures for GIS equipment. Key Responsibilities: - Support project engineers in developing project-specific engineering documents and drawings - Prepare Tekla model, GA drawings, and Fabrication drawings of Steel Support Structures for Gas Insulated Switchgears above 66kV - Conduct structural design activities using Staad Pro - Interact with departments like Primary Engineering, Secondary Engineering, Project Management, and Production units - Prepare project-specific Civil plans for customers providing GIS loading for the design of customer building floor, ceiling cranes, etc. - Self-review and peer review of documents - Deliver designs on time with quality and coordinate with team members and project lead engineer - Maintain and update documentation for respective projects as per quality process - Adhere to safety and integrity core values of Hitachi Energy Qualifications Required: - 2-5 years of experience with B.E in Civil & Structural Engineering - Hands-on experience in Tekla, Navisworks, and other modeling software - Familiarity with codes and applicable standards necessary for Structural Modeling & Detailing - Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills - Knowledge of tools like AUTOCAD, MS Office - Knowledge of Galvanization & painting procedures - Knowledge of HSE standards like OSHA, DIN - Knowledge of international standards such as IEC/ IEEE / ANSI - Knowledge of HV substation / HV products - Working knowledge of Staad.pro (Note: Any additional details of the company were not included in the job description),
