Project Engineer Structural Analysis(FEA)

Role Overview: You will be serving as a Project Engineer- FEA within the Electrification team, focusing on FEA and vibration Analysis for components such as Battery pack, lifting hook, and EV infrastructure. Your role will be crucial in contributing to new product development by leveraging your expertise in Ansys pre-processing, material modeling, failure mechanisms, and more. You will play a significant part in ensuring the structural integrity and performance of various products. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize Ansys pre-processing techniques including mesh sensitivity, FE-integration, deck debugging, and post-processing of results. - Demonstrate proficiency in debugging convergence problems and solution metrics. - Apply theoretical and practical knowledge in material modeling, failure mechanisms, and nonlinear modeling. - Conduct hands-on analysis including random vibration analysis, PSD and FSD graphs, fatigue life estimation, eigen analysis, and more using Ansys. - Perform transient shock analysis, projectile, and drop scenarios using Ansys LS-dyna. - Have a basic understanding of thermal stress concepts and Ansys CFD. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 2 years of experience in Ansys structural with a focus on statics and vibrations. - Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical/automobile engineering with good grades. - Research experience is optional but beneficial. - Strong presentation skills with the ability to back work with solid analysis metrics. - Willingness to learn new analysis techniques and concepts. - Ability to take accountability for work and initiate meetings with designers.
