Project Engineer - Steel Structural

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation, and commissioning. As a Design Engineer at Hitachi Energy, your responsibilities will include designing steel structure drawings in line with GIS requirements and customer specifications. You will be responsible for calculating dynamic and static loads according to international standards, obtaining technical details from storage systems, preparing project-specific civil plans, painting specifications, and creating 3D models and shop drawings. Additionally, you will support the sales and tender team by providing technical specifications for GIS support structures, ensuring timely delivery of designs with high quality, maintaining ProDesign library, adhering to documentation processes, and upholding Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or a 3-year Diploma in electrical engineering with 5-7 years of experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, 3D modeling using CREO/Tekla, steel structure design calculations, SAP for engineering interface with SCM, costing of steel structure, hands-on experience in 3D tools like Pro E/CREO, AUTOCAD, MS Office, design tools such as Tekla, STAAD Pro, knowledge of painting procedures, and familiarity with relevant international standards such as IEC/ANSI. Understanding of seismic zones and their impact on structure design, as well as knowledge of high voltage GIS products, is considered an added advantage.
