As a Lead Control Engineer at Addverb (One of Uplers" Clients), you will play a crucial role in developing new products and enhancing existing ones. Your responsibilities will include suggesting control elements based on an understanding of mechanics, participating in in-house product testing, and providing on-site support when necessary. You will be expected to possess a strong skill set in PLC programming, VFD, HMI Design, BOM Creation, Motors, sensors, communication protocols, and site management. Reporting to the Senior Manager/Chief Manager in the R&D Controls department, you will be required to work closely with various stakeholders to gather solution requirements, conceptualize and operationalize solutions, and ensure the use of the latest technologies in product development. Your role will involve finalizing solutions with stakeholders, managing vendor selection, releasing engineering BOMs, and actively participating in prototyping and testing phases. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or possess equivalent experience with a consistent academic record of 60% and above. You must have a solid understanding of motor selection, motor controllers, sensors, wiring basics, load calculations, OPC servers, industrial networking protocols, PLC programming, and SCADA/HMI systems. In addition to technical skills, you should demonstrate strong behavioral attributes such as logical problem-solving, resilience in challenging situations, effective communication and collaboration, efficient time management, flexibility in adapting to changing project scopes, and a commitment to engineering excellence. You will also be responsible for maintaining product and project documentation, providing support to the after-sales team, and mentoring new talent within the organization.
