Your key responsibilities will include curriculum planning and delivery by designing and implementing lesson plans for the Cambridge Primary Math and Science curriculum. Utilize inquiry-based and experiential learning methods while integrating cross-disciplinary learning where relevant. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment fostering curiosity, logical reasoning, and scientific thinking among students. Encourage collaborative and individual learning practices. Additionally, you will conduct formative and summative assessments as per Cambridge guidelines, maintain detailed student progress records, provide timely feedback, and prepare student portfolios and reports for parent communication and documentation. Collaborate closely with fellow educators, coordinators, and academic heads, participate in planning meetings, professional development sessions, and school events. Support the integration of other areas like art, tech, and environmental awareness in math/science contexts. Maintain open, respectful communication with parents, provide regular academic updates, and suggest strategies to support home learning. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelors/Masters degree in Science, Mathematics, or Education, B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Math and/or Science at the primary level, preferably in IGCSE or international curriculum schools. A strong understanding of child development and progressive education practices, excellent communication skills in English, and comfort using digital tools for teaching and documentation are essential.
