Production Planning Control - Associate

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Job Summary: The Production Planning and Control (PPC) Associate is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to ensure that automotive components manufactured efficiently, on time, and within quality standards. This role plays a critical part in aligning production with customer demands, optimizing resource utilization, and minimizing downtime. Key Responsibilities: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels. Coordinate with various departments including procurement, inventory, logistics, and shop floor operations to ensure material availability and workflow. Monitor production performance against plans, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective actions to avoid delays. Analyze production data and generate reports on efficiency, downtime, capacity utilization, and adherence to schedules. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Just-in-Time and continuous improvement practices to optimize production processes. Manage and update Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing in ERP/MRP systems. Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams for new product launches and pilot production runs. Address and resolve production issues and coordinate with maintenance for timely equipment servicing.
