Production Manager

Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
• Monitor production activities and adjust schedules as needed to ensure timely delivery.

2. Process Management:

• Oversee the gear manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards and customer specifications.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency and achieve cost effectivity.

3. Quality Control:

• Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and and are according to customer requirements and specifications.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to detect and address defects or issues.

4. Team Management:

• Lead, train, and motivate the production team to achieve production targets.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

5. Resource Management:

• Manage resources, including raw materials, machinery, and labor, to optimize production efficiency.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials.

6. Health and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production area.
• Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits and training.

7. Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments, including engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations.

8. Reporting:

• Prepare and present production reports, on efficiency, output, and quality.
• Analyze production data and make informed decisions to improve operations.

9. Continuous Improvement:

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the production team.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other improvement methodologies to enhance production processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in production management, preferably in the gear manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of gear manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, heat treatment, and finishing operations.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
