Purpose of the Position To Steer the IT Department as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for SAVWIPL. To ensure smooth and efficient operations of all IT systems across 9 locations viz., Chakan Plant, Mumbai and Aurangabad, along with Parts Warehouses and Regional Training Centres at Pune, Bangalore and Gurgaon, 250+ Dealerships pan India. Provide strategic direction to the IT Department, in line with Organizations (SAVWIPL, SKMB, VW Group & APAC region) strategy and execute new projects for technology/infrastructure/application deployments. To achieve these, manage a budget to the tune of 7 Mio EUR for Investment and 17 Mio EUR as IT Running Costs. Ensure optimal use of IT resources and identify opportunities for cost optimization wherever possible. Assure IT security levels meet the Group and regulatory needs. Steer and decides over the IT strategic and cross-functional programs and projects to meet company goals. To define & lead Digitalization strategy for the Organization. Setup & execute Digital projects, define roadmap & monetization/revenue generation potentials. Create and develop efficient and lean IT organisation with strong synergical interface to SKMB and VW Group. Ensure Group Standards & Group Reporting. Contribute to the strategy of the Group. Corporate Strategy 2025/2030 - Define, Deploy & Steer Digital Transformation within the Organization Conceptualise & Introduce methods to assess progress of Digital Transformation initiatives by deploying Digital Cultural Awareness Program (DCAP) & Digital Maturity Model (DMM) & align to expected KPIs Setup, Define KPIs & Deliver Innovative Tech solutions from DigiLab by collaborating with DigiLabs within the Group, NASSCOM, Startup ecosystem Institutionalize IT Security, Risk management and mitigation of risks within the department Establish network with IT Heads of Group companies for Best practices & knowledge sharing, Engage with DigiLabs within the Group for Innovation & New Technology Steer IT topics in advanced technologies for Product Development like Connected Car Build competency, synergies between VW Group India/APAC companies Leadership People Management, MbO , career and training planning for the entire department. Motivate team members through different initiatives. Guide the team for effectiveness and efficiency. Develop project managers as leaders within the organization and expand their capabilities to assume more and greater responsibility succession planning Plan & execute various IT Projects and programs including IT Infrastructure, IT Architecture, Processes & Systems ex. India 2.5, Component Factory, CKD Operations, Vietnam plant, OneFinance, HelloSuccess, etc Drive cost optimization initiatives across department and actively contribute towards organizational topics such as T4P, Group & Company Strategy Setting targets for projects and resources. Synchronizing the work of the different areas/sub-departments Ensure adherence to Group wide IT Security Program as per relevance Define & drive Technology initiatives like Digital Transformation across the organization Provide comprehensive consultation & leadership to improve Business Processes, strive for continual improvements Decision making required for all Strategic, Financial, Operational and People related topics for the department Mentor, Assess prospective Leadership candidates within the organization under the Management Development program like BLQ, ACL, PDP Participate in Industry forums, Seminars, Roundtables to enhance ones knowledge & also contribute to the wider IT community Setup Digitalization platforsm to work on Innovative solutions, New Technology discovery & implementation for Business benefits in the area of AI/ML, Cloud, Mobility, Revenue generation Models from Digital Services Operations Review and revise policies, procedures and standards in order to clearly reflect working methods and improve them. Drive adaptation & implementation of Group best practices in the organization including industry proven best practices like ITIL, PMP, Agile etc Foster effective teamwork and ensure a neutral and harmonious working environment. Develop and maintain a plan that provides for succession and continuity in the most critical IT management positions Foster a culture of innovation, transparency and accountability in IT Foster Vendor relations to perform Technology upgrades & Capacity Planning Manage team size 70 Internals & 200+ External employees Define and Implement the framework for managing large IT projects across the organization IT PEP Build high achieving/performing, cross functional teams Build & scale technical knowledge of the IT team, motivate technology learning Governance & Management of Supplier/Vendor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Infrastructure As a Service in Region APAC IaaS Competence Centre for Delivery Steer Group HQ IT Powerhouse Strategy by setting up of IaaS for Region APAC Act as IT Department responsible for IT Infrastructure – Data Center, Network, EUS, KAM, Project Setup & Migration, Cloud solutions Ensure 99% uptime of IT Services to different Group company locations in India & Region APAC - MAN India, VW IT Services, VW Financial Services, Audi Volkswagen Korea, Region APAC Data Center etc.. Achieve 80% Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) Define, add new Technologies in the Roadmap for Region APAC companies like Cloud Migration & Deliver them within Cost-Quality-Time KPIs Plan & Execute complex migration projects like network integration, setup of additional capacity for growing needs of the companies Complete Data Center hosting & Operations Management for VWITS, VWK, MAN India, PKI card services to VW AG global vendors operating out of India Accountability - Planning & Reporting, Compliance Ensure High IT System uptime to achieve Production Targets – Pune & Aurangabad Deliver seamless experience through IT Systems to Dealerships & Customers Plan yearly roadmap of Business & Technology critical projects Execute yearly IT Projects within defined KPIs - Budget & Timeline Deploy Project Management Standards like Group IT PEP, Agile, ITSC (IT Steering committee), etc. Setup & drive Steering Committees including Business & IT for project reviews Allocate necessary resources to projects in accordance with the organization’s priorities and commitments to for deliveries – Internal & Region APAC Monitor program and project performance of both internal and external service providers Recommending and approving funding levels and spending plans for the projects Design the organization for project management implementation to best meet the organization’s strategy Decision making in Crisis and change management Research & Report to Board - changing Technology Trends, emerging IT Security threats, New Business models, competition benchmarking Report IT initiatives, Key Projects, Strategic topics to Board (TMM) on Monthly basis Report IT topics in Brand / HQ forums like IT Steering Committee (ITSC), Region Advisory Board India (RABI) Participate in Region APAC CIO Conference & contribute to Synergy strategy Participate in Group IT Leadership (GITL) to understand New initiatives & collaborate with IT community within the Brands & Group Achieve & Report Digital Transformation initiatives, KPIs in SAVW Corporate Strategy 2025/2030 Participate in Monthly Brand Directors Management Circle Meeting (MCM) to discuss & present IT Landscape developments specific to Marketing, Sales & After Sales Compliance Ensure adherence to Global Standards & Certificates : ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 9001, ISO 140001, ISO 50001 Review & comply to Group IT Security Policies & Regulations, Law of Land like Factories Act, Cyber Security Ensure Software License Compliance by setting up Processes, Tools & responsibilities Contribute to APS Committee (Product Safety) as decision maker for IT relevant topics
