The Production Head will be responsible for overall planning, execution, and control of all fabrication activities at the Murbad manufacturing facility. This includes managing manpower, machines, production schedules, quality standards, safety practices, and workflow optimization. The position requires a highly experienced leader who understands heavy metal fabrication processes, welding techniques, machine operations, and project timelines.

The ideal candidate will be a senior professional with extensive knowledge of structural steel fabrication, capable of leading teams with discipline, motivating workers, and ensuring smooth factory operations by setting strong examples in work ethic, integrity, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules; allocate manpower and machines effectively.
• Oversee all fabrication taskscutting, bending, welding, grinding, assemblyand ensure compliance with drawings, WPS, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Lead and mentor fabricators, welders, fitters, and supervisors; maintain discipline and strong shop-floor presence.
• Interpret GA/shop drawings and use AutoCAD for layout checks and production verification.
• Ensure strict quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage materials, reduce wastage, and coordinate with stores and purchase for timely availability.
• Liaise with project teams and clients; prepare regular production reports.
• Maintain machinery, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure smooth facility operations.
  

Candidate Profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• 15+ years experience in heavy metal/structural steel fabrication with strong factory management exposure.
• Proficient in AutoCAD ( mandatory )
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes (SAW, MIG, Arc, cutting, bending, assembly).
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Disciplined, hands-on, and capable of independently managing a fabrication unit.
