As a Production Manager based in Tirupur, your role will involve handling pre-production and production activities effectively. You should have a Graduate degree or diploma in apparel, preferably from NIFT, along with 10-15 years of experience in garment production management, with a minimum of 5-7 years as a manager in a buying house or apparel manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include maintaining continuous communication with suppliers to ensure timely submissions, analyzing factory capacity and suggesting improvement plans, reviewing and analyzing production planning, and identifying potential production risks such as quality issues and delays. You must work closely with the production team to influence suppliers and meet set goals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and alert risks of delivery delays while mitigating them effectively. It is essential for you to keep track of factory metrics to maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at the required level, handle customer requirements clearly, and communicate them accurately to vendors. Managing the team, working on merchandising activities, maintaining client/vendor relationships, and providing timely solutions to customer issues and delays are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you should possess a strong ethical mindset and a good understanding of different quality fabrics. Overall, your role will require you to be independent, responsible, detail-oriented, flexible, and a good team player. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with all levels, both internally and externally. You should also be proficient in written and spoken English, as well as MS Office, to perform tasks such as costing analysis, product negotiation, and data management/internal system updation effectively.,
