Product Development Engineer I - Backend

As a Backend Engineer at our company, you will be an essential part of our team dedicated to building a world-class product from scratch. Your role as a Product Development Engineer I involves the design and development of highly scalable and reliable backend systems that form the backbone of our core platform. Collaborating closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders, you will be instrumental in transforming ideas into reality. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems and microservices primarily using Java. You will take ownership of the complete backend development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and monitoring. Additionally, you will contribute to architectural decisions and assist in constructing a modular, scalable product platform. Working in collaboration with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams, you will ensure smooth integration and delivery of the product. To excel in this role, we are seeking individuals with at least 3-6 years of hands-on experience in backend development, with a strong command of Java. You should possess a deep understanding of System Design, Scalable Architecture, and Microservices, along with expertise in RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and asynchronous processing. Proficiency in working with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar is crucial. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, AWS, and excellent problem-solving skills are also essential. It would be advantageous if you have prior experience working in early-stage product teams, knowledge of technologies like Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch, and exposure to Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git.
