About the Role

Are you a passionate Product Design Engineering Leader who thrives on solving complex technical challenges while shaping the future of innovative products We are looking for an experienced Product Design Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical design team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll mentor engineers, drive world-class product designs, and play a key part in delivering cutting-edge technology to global markets.

What You'll Do

• Lead & Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of talented product design and CAE engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and growth.
  
• Technical Guidance: Provide direction on CAE modeling, CFD/FEA challenges, and complex mechanical design decisions, ensuring robust and optimized solutions.
  
• Own Deliveries: Prioritize, plan, and execute engineering projects, balancing timelines, quality, and resources effectively.
  
• Design Excellence: Ensure products meet performance, manufacturability, cost, and quality targets, with deep expertise in DFM and advanced tolerance stack-up analysis.
  
• Global Collaboration: Act as the bridge between India team and HQ, aligning requirements, resolving integration issues, and driving seamless execution.
  
• Supplier Management: Build strong supplier partnerships, ensure optimal design-for-manufacturing (DFM), and support procurement activities.
  

What You'll Bring

• 12+ years in mechanical/product design with 23 years in a leadership role.
  
• Strong background in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), GD&T, tolerance analysis, metals & plastics manufacturing processes.
  
• Proven ability to mentor engineers, lead cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts to all levels of stakeholders.
  
• Solid system-level design expertise and strong fundamentals in engineering tradeoffs and problem-solving.
  
• Familiarity with CFD & FEA tools (Ansys, FloEFD), with ability to guide analysis and decision-making.
  
• A self-driven, proactive leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience designing optomechanical test fixtures.
  
• Knowledge of statistical analysis software (JMP, Minitab, etc.).
  
• Experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs).
  
• Exposure to high-volume industries (consumer electronics, robotics, medical devices).
