As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting internal business stakeholders and Strategic Sourcing Managers in managing all aspects of 3rd party supplier business needs and relationships. Your responsibilities will include understanding internal client needs, leading competitive sourcing events, contract processing and administration, supplier risk mitigation, and ongoing contract and performance management. You will also be actively involved in managing reporting needs, contract database administration, and supplier coordination in collaboration with other company associates and Strategic Sourcing Managers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues will be key to your success in this role. Your main responsibilities will include: - Building positive internal relationships by providing high-quality service with competence and professionalism. - Developing and executing sourcing activities aligned with business unit needs and priorities. - Leading or supporting competitive sourcing processes from start to finish, including developing RFx packages, analyzing proposals, coordinating supplier demos, and providing overall leadership throughout the process. - Analyzing pricing proposals, business impact, and potential cost savings. - Implementing supplier management best practices to maximize the value of vendor relationships and mitigate risks. - Managing contract renewals and renegotiations, negotiating contract terms and conditions, and providing timely reporting of savings and project updates. - Communicating effectively with key stakeholders and upper management, ensuring valuable insights for business decision-making. - Complying with company and department policies and procedures, and effectively managing workload and commitments. To be successful in this role, you should possess: - A Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, finance, supply chain, or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience. - At least 4 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, including sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and risk management. - Excellent organizational, analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills. - Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills. - High level of interpersonal skills to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and vendors. - Ability to lead difficult conversations, communicate the value of procedures, build consensus, and achieve savings goals. - Autonomy in work, balancing business demands, legal requirements, and policies for positive outcomes. - Initiative, mature judgment, customer service orientation, and ability to anticipate organizational needs. - Experience with automated Procurement solutions like SAP/Ariba and e-auctions.
