Job Role : Procurement Manager Location : Surat (Vareli) No. of positions : 2 Work Experience : 5-10 years functional experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Inventory Management in a Manufacturing Organization Salary Range : 6- 10 LPA Education Requirements: Graduate Engineer Payroll - Randsatd (One year contract and extendable) Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and Buying of Engineering spares and M&R requirements for various Site functions, including Mechanical, Utilities, Safety, Production, Administration, Logistics Departments. Securing highly efficient Commercial deals for the Organization in respective spend areas, with respect to prices, payment terms, guarantees/ warranties, sales & service support and from a total cost of Ownership perspective contributing to overall operating cost efficiencies. Build, maintain and expand a comprehensive database and catalogue of goods and services used in Plant operation. Ownership of the entire Procure-to-pay process with effective interfacing with the Finance-AP team to ensure payments term adherence. Ensure efficiency of the Ordering with minimum turnaround time from PR to material Delivery/ service related deployments. Effective Inventory level monitoring through timely replenishment and avoiding over-inventorization in an extremely dynamic business environment. Timely actions for liquidation of slow-moving and obsolete inventories to minimize risks of provisions and write-off. End-to-end Contract Lifecycle Management for effective deployment and drawal of various types of services for the Plant requirements. Effective interface with Internal Customers and External providers to ensure On- Time & In-Full at competitive costs. Managing Supply Chain risks due to external variabilities, volatile market conditions, internal changes and adjustments and regulatory changes impacting operations and processes and initiating proactive countermeasures to ensure supply chain continuity for assigned spend categories. Effectively build and communicate governance metrics to establish efficiency and effectiveness of buying process to Management periodically, and provide justifications for variances against determined targets/ budgets. Personality Trait & Work Requirements: Excellent Negotiation Skills and knowledge of advance negotiation techniques. Excellent Analytical Skills to evaluate comparative competitiveness of Offers and proposals with multiple variables influencing outcomes. High degree of proficiency in Procurement analytics and data visualization to help Management drive decisions based on data and market information. Should have very good knowledge of Advance MS Excel and MS Powerpoint. Understanding the technicalities of Key Engineering requirements and ability to communicate requirements for external providers and carry out basic level of vetting of offers and proposals from a techno-commercial perspective. Good knowledge of external supply markets, key influencers, operating methodologies, industry practices, applicable regulatory frameworks. Very good oral and written communication & presentation skills and ability to relate and communicate at all levels in the Organization and with the external world. Good knowledge of Import Process, Custom clearance, INCOTERMS, and International Payment mechanisms. Preferred prior experience in in SAP Hana MM Module

This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure specifications and production needs are met while optimizing costs and maintaining compliance with quality standards. Procurement and supplier management: Responsible for sourcing knits, wovens, and specialty yarns, managing purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors using ERP systems like SAP MM. The role includes evaluating suppliers, onboarding new vendors, and fostering long-term partnerships. Costing, quality, and compliance: Involves analyzing cost components, negotiating pricing, ensuring raw materials meet quality benchmarks, and collaborating with QA teams to resolve issues. The manager also ensures adherence to certifications such as OEKO-TEX and GRS. Skills and performance metrics: Requires a bachelors degree in Textile Technology, Engineering, or Supply Chain, with 5-10 years of relevant experience. Key competencies include negotiation, supplier evaluation, ERP proficiency, and strong communication. Performance is measured through cost savings, quality compliance, timely delivery, and supplier development. Key Responsibility Areas: Fabric & Yarn Sourcing - Source high-quality knits, wovens, and specialty yarns from domestic and international suppliers. - Collaborate with design, R&D, and production teams to confirm specifications and sampling needs. - Manage PR/PO cycles and vendor coordination using ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM). Costing & Negotiation - Analyze cost elements (fiber, conversion, logistics, duties) and negotiate pricing aligned with market indices. - Secure favorable terms including MRP, payment schedules, lead times, and MOQs. Supplier Evaluation & Vendor Development - Evaluate suppliers on technical capability, quality systems, delivery performance, and compliance. - Conduct facility audits and maintain supplier scorecards. - Onboard new vendors and build long-term partnerships across clusters Quality Assurance & Compliance - Ensure raw materials meet benchmarks (GSM, count, twist, shrinkage, colorfastness). - Collaborate with QA teams to resolve inspection and production-stage issues. Systems & Data Management - Use ERP tools for vendor master data, invoice tracking, and MIS reporting. - Monitor dashboards for purchase vs consumption, lead time variance, and vendor issues. Inventory & Demand Planning - Align procurement cycles with production using JIT and safety stock methods. - Prevent stockouts or overstock through close coordination with planning teams. Market Intelligence & Innovation - Track textile trends and integrate sustainable materials into sourcing strategy. - Source eco-certified inputs aligned with brand goals. Required Qualifications & Skills - Education: Bachelors in Textile Technology/ Engineering, - Experience: 510 years in textile/apparel sourcing. - Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of fabric types, yarn blends, testing protocols, and certifications. - Software Skills: ERP (SAP MM), MS Excel, vendor management systems. - Competencies: Negotiation, cost structuring, supplier evaluation, relationship-building. - Communication: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management. - Mindset: Detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and improvement-focused.
