Procurement Assistant

PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement department in sourcing, purchasing, and maintaining supplier relationships. This role ensures timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining cost eAiciency, compliance with policies, and smooth coordination with internal departments. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed. • Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement documents. • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts. • Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. • Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs. • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers. • Monitor inventory levels and support in stock replenishment. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities. • Assist in preparing procurement reports and documentation. • Maintain proper filing system for all procurement-related records. Key Skills & Competencies: • Good knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management. • Strong organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to multitask and prioritize eAectively. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency in MS OAice (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP/Procurement software (if applicable). • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field. • 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain • Knowledge of vendor management and basic negotiation skills.
