As a Senior Process Engineer at our Chemical industry in Mumbai, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and directly reporting to the management. Your main tasks will include core Process Engineering and detailed engineering work. This will involve tasks such as Process FEED & Detailed Engineering, Mass balance & heat balance calculation, sizing of Equipment, Instrument and Lines, as well as performing Hydraulic calculation of network lines and Estimation of Power load. In this role, you will review Engineering documents, reports & Operating manual, PFD, P&ID, SAFE Charts, Cause & Effect Diagram, and Datasheets for Rotating, Static and Instruments. You will be the key decision-maker for all technical decisions related to the process and ensure that all documents/deliverables and correspondence are properly filed. Additionally, you will guide the Project management team on emergencies and assist in the execution of Detailed Engineering and FEED job in a project. Your skills will be put to the test as you prepare/detail BFD, PFD & P&ID, select and size equipment, prepare process and utility equipment specifications, and perform pump hydraulics and Power consumption calculations. You will also be involved in Line sizing for liquids & Gases, Pressure drop calculation, and PSV sizing, among other tasks related to Process Philosophy, Pump calculations, Equipment List & Sizing, and Hydraulic calculations. Key software skills required for this role include proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) & AutoCAD, with optional expertise in Heat exchanger design using Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD & HTRI.
