The role of Assistant Manager, Financial Control in the Finance department at Gurgaon, India, reporting to the Manager, Finance, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a team that has been instrumental in helping clients build better financial futures for over 50 years. The financial control team, consisting of approximately 25 qualified accountants based in various locations, is responsible for critical tasks such as month-end closing, board reporting, CFO reporting, and regulatory reporting on a global scale. In addition, the team plays a key role in providing management information, monitoring risks & controls, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. As the Assistant Manager, Financial Control, you will have the chance to gain a comprehensive understanding of capital & liquidity reporting functions across different regions, while also ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborating closely with the Bermuda based Shareholder Services team, you will play a crucial role in supporting capital control reporting processes efficiently and effectively. Building strong relationships with various stakeholders, you will contribute to meeting accounting and reporting requirements, as well as developing a deep understanding of capital reporting & shareholder processes. Key responsibilities of this role include: - Preparation of Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) Pillar 1 return in accordance with Basel rules II monthly - Collation of data for Cash & Capital templates for quarterly challenge calls with regional controllers - Maintaining Capital Change Request Tracker and facilitating final approval requests - Bi-annual preparation of Pillar 2 & Pillar 3 data based on BMA return - Preparation of ALCO deck along with commentary of changes quarter on quarter - Maintaining cash tracking of share offers and status reporting to Shareholder Services and HR - Provision of financial reporting to the financial controllers - Preparation and review of standard reporting packages for various management teams and company secretarial teams - Supporting ad hoc data and analysis requests The ideal candidate for this role should be a qualified chartered accountant with 4 to 5 years of working experience, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analytics, and knowledge of CFP. Proficiency in PowerBI and Alteryx is essential. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a global team model are also desirable qualities.
