Description
As an innovative engineer at Caterpillar Inc., your primary responsibility will be developing Engineering applications used by Caterpillar employees in office and factory operations. You will mentor and guide a team of engineers, leveraging ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and SQL database technologies while exploring emerging technologies. You will work on developing web-based or on-prem applications, hosting them in Azure cloud environment, and interacting with process partners for requirements clarifications. Your key responsibilities will include: - Gathering and analyzing user/client requirements to create software requirements specification (SRS) documents. - Writing and implementing source codes, enhancing code samples of existing systems. - Testing and debugging cloud-based or on-prem system software using different tools/methods to improve code quality and optimize system performance. - Optimizing the infrastructure by collaborating with the Caterpillar IT team. - Providing post-production support by collaborating with other teams. Qualifications required: - Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum. - 8+ years of experience with a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Preferred experience with enterprise-level system practices and compliance. - Certification and practical applications in AI/ML is a plus.
