Role & responsibilities

• Underwrite homeowner insurance policies, encompassing new business, renewals, and endorsements.
• Review and meticulously analyze various inspection documents, including wind mitigation, four-point inspection, and post-bind inspection reports.
• Thoroughly evaluate home attributes such as roof, exterior wall, and foundation to accurately assess risk.
• Manage policy renewals, ensuring strict compliance with all underwriting guidelines.
• Review pre-bind policies and provide necessary approvals efficiently.
• Process and review replacement cost estimators with precision.
• Provide expert support and guidance on underwriting terms and conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of dedicated experience in property and casualty insurance, with a strong emphasis on homeowner insurance.
• Demonstrated expertise in homeowner insurance underwriting terms, renewals, and endorsements.
• Proficiency in interpreting various inspection documents, including wind mitigation, four-point inspection, and post-bind inspection.
• Comprehensive knowledge of home attributes, including roof, exterior wall, and foundation.
• Proven experience in handling replacement cost estimators.
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adept at working independently and effectively managing a remote workload.

Position Details

• This is a fully remote position.
• Homeowner insurance underwriting experience is a must
• Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
• Shift: CST (6 PM to 3 AM), Monday through Friday.
