XSQUADS Tech Private Limited, a rapidly growing game development company focused on creating captivating gaming experiences, is currently seeking a talented 3D Environment/Map Designer to contribute to the creation of high-quality game environments for our projects. As a 3D Environment/Map Designer, your primary responsibilities will include designing and developing realistic and visually appealing 3D environments and maps for multiplayer gameplay. This entails crafting terrain, buildings, landscapes, and interactive objects while prioritizing optimal performance. Collaborating with the game design team, you will be tasked with creating well-balanced, strategic, and engaging map layouts. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing lighting, textures, and materials to enhance environmental aesthetics, as well as optimizing assets for efficiency in real-time game engines. Utilizing AI-powered tools and procedural generation techniques, you will expedite the world-building process. It is crucial to ensure the seamless integration of 3D environments with gameplay mechanics and to stay abreast of industry trends to refine map design techniques. The ideal candidate for this role should possess proven experience as a 3D Environment Artist or Level Designer within the gaming industry. Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or ZBrush is essential, along with a strong understanding of game engine environments, particularly Unity 3D or Unreal Engine. Experience in terrain sculpting, world-building, and asset placement, coupled with knowledge of lighting, shading, and material creation for realistic environments, is required. Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools and the ability to optimize 3D assets for real-time performance are also key qualifications. Additionally, the successful candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of level design, composition, and storytelling through environments. Preferred skills include experience in creating large-scale open-world maps, understanding of procedural generation techniques, proficiency in physics-based rendering (PBR) workflows, expertise in map balancing and gameplay flow analysis, and a passion for designing immersive multiplayer battle environments.
