Procurement and Logistics Officer (Offshore)
Position: Procurement and Logistics Officer (Offshore) Location : 501/502, Kesar Orion, Plot No. 125, Hindu Colony Lane No. 5, Dadar East, Mumbai - 400014, India (Preference will be given to candidates residing nearby.) We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement and Logistics Officer (Offshore) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management, particularly in the maritime or offshore sector. Key Responsibilities: Manage the procurement of essential materials such as lubricants, paints, chemicals, and critical spares for vessels using the Technical Managers’ PMS software. Track and maintain records of spare parts consumption and ensure minimum stock levels onboard vessels. Coordinate communication systems (VSAT, FBB, Starlink) for the fleet to ensure uninterrupted connectivity. Oversee essential services and inspections during vessel takeovers, including LSA/FFA inspections, gas detector calibrations, and other critical preparations. Organize and facilitate vessel handovers, managing logistics and coordinating with agents and suppliers for smooth operations. Consolidate spares and stores for delivery to vessels and arrange efficient logistics with freight forwarders. Manage procurement and service activities during dry dock periods and maintain accurate reporting. Collaborate with suppliers and managers for negotiations, invoicing, and timely payment processing. Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, and contracts. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the shipping or offshore industry (5+ Years). Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Salary : ₹70,000 - ₹80,000 per month (based on experience and interview performance) .
