Key Responsibilities and Skills: · Responsibilities : 1. Oversee the fabrication process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. 2. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products. Manage fabrication staff, providing training and development opportunities. 3. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity. · Production Management : 1. Planning and scheduling fabrication processes. 2. Ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards. 3. Managing resources, including personnel and materials. 4. Monitoring and improving production efficiency, potentially using lean manufacturing techniques. 5. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations. · Design Input and Collaboration: 1. Providing input to the design team on manufacturability, ensuring designs are feasible for fabrication. 2. Analyzing designs for potential production issues and recommending solutions. 3. Collaborating with design engineers to optimize designs for production and cost-effectiveness. 4. Managing the introduction of new designs into production. · Leadership and Team Management: 1. Supervising and motivating fabrication staff. 2. Providing training and development opportunities to improve team skills. 3. Implementing and enforcing quality control procedures. 4. Resolving production issues and ensuring smooth operations. · Technical Skills: 1. Understanding of various fabrication processes, including welding, machining, etc. 2. Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools. 3. Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures. · Soft Skills: 1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 2. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 3. Leadership and team management skills. · Experience: Proven experience in a fabrication production management role, with a strong understanding of design principles and manufacturing processes.
