As a software engineer at Google, you will be involved in developing cutting-edge technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. Your role will require a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience along with a minimum of 8 years of software development experience in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. Additionally, you should have at least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, as well as 2 years of experience in people management or team leadership. Ideally, you will hold a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. Experience with Large Language Model (LLM), building and maintaining highly scalable data processing infrastructure, production systems, privacy/security, and establishing relationships with customer teams would be preferred. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional partners to define the team's goals, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with Google Photos" objectives. You will be responsible for delivering software solutions that enhance user experience and contribute to the success of Google Photos. Building automation platforms to accelerate prototyping and feature development, especially in enabling Machine Learning (ML) features, will be a crucial part of your role. You will also develop tools to improve cost and capacity management, assisting the Photos team in making performance and cost tradeoff decisions.
