To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Technician Quality in Chennai. As a Technician Quality, your typical day will involve working with Design and Manufacturing Engineers team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements. You will support in the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety, and Environmental risks. Additionally, you will support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards and follow up with suppliers for root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues. It will be your responsibility to review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement, and promote the use of customer-preferred techniques for continuous improvement. Furthermore, you will provide concise, complete, and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to your area of responsibility. You will facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers, as well as support the Quality Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance. Your role will also involve reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to processes and prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system, preparation and validation of First Article Inspection, participation in cross-functional teams for new product development, management and coordination of supplier Material/Non-Material cost recovery for Supplier Quality issues, support in Internal/External Audit readiness, undertaking special projects as required, contributing to continuous improvement activities, quality control of work through appropriate reviews, testing oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble-shooting, component testing, logic analyzer, inspection on bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools, mechanical & electrical tools, taps and dies, alignment tools, and measuring tools, writing reports, presenting progress at project meetings and to clients, conducting benchmarking studies, staying current on industry changes, building big data collection and analytics capabilities, analyzing data sources, proposing solutions to strategic planning problems, providing data-driven decision support, leveraging data analytics and statistical methods to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency. The experience we're looking to add to our team includes a Diploma in EEE/ECE/Mech/E&TC or B.Sc in Physics/ECS, 0 to 2 years of experience in the Automotive Industry/EMS/Electronics Products Manufacturing Industry, knowledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), use of various tools, electronic assembly, knowledge in various PCB operations, Lean manufacturing, ISO standards, handling computerized electronic test equipment and programming, knowledge of measurement techniques, experience in understanding and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding manufacturing processes, planning and prioritizing activities, good communication, and interpersonal skills.
