As an Experienced Mechanical Engineer at Barry-Wehmiller, you will play a crucial role in New Product Development, Conceptual Design, Engineering Design, and Detailing for various Industrial Machineries and Equipment such as Printing, Packaging, Converting, Textile, and Paper machineries. Your responsibilities will include Basic engineering calculations, Concept Development, Detailed Design, and Bill of Materials release using tools like SolidWorks (2018 & above)/EPDM and Infor XA applications. You will be involved in Design of product line variants, Design modifications of existing machines, and performing concept/design/manufacturing reviews. Your expertise in handling large assemblies, material selection, and knowledge of global material standards will be essential. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in testing, safety, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reviews with customers. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with more than 5 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in Industrial Machineries and Equipment. Experience in Printing, Packaging, and Converting Machines OEM is preferable. Your technical skills should encompass sound knowledge in mechanical engineering design principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering calculations. You will have the opportunity to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 15-20% of the time), collaborating with global teams and gaining insights into machine manufacturing and assembly processes across regions.
