As a Principal Technical Specialist in Nokia's Network Automation team, you will leverage your expertise in IP network management and protocols like SNMP, NetConf, and gNMI to develop and test carrier-grade automation solutions, collaborate with passionate professionals on high-impact projects, and contribute to shaping the future of network management in a flexible, innovative environment.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Work with cross-functional agile teams in designing and developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to refine technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain solid automation pipelines for cross functional use cases
- Work on developing simulations at network scale.
- Drive innovation by exploring new ideas, tools, and methodologies to enhance team performance and project outcomes.
- Contribute to challenging projects that push the boundaries of technology, working alongside some of the industry's brightest engineers.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8-10 years of work experience.
- Experience in testing design, writing test cases, raising defects, verifying fixes, patches & enhancements.
- Strong in test automation; including GUI automation (Selenium, JavaScript, html5, Mocha) and script development (shell/PERL/python)
- Experience in technologies like K8S, ELK, Prometheus, Kafka, Docker and databases like Postgres DB
- Knowledge of network management (EMS/NMS) concepts and basic protocols like SNMP, Netconf/Restconf, GNMI etc.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- In-depth Understanding of IP Networking (Routing & Switching) is must.
