Job Description

As a Principal/Staff/Senior Engineer in Manufacturing FW Validation for SSDPE at Micron Technology, your role will involve working with a team to validate the firmware for a cutting-edge storage controller design. You will collaborate with teams across multiple geographies to gain a comprehensive understanding of the firmware design. Your responsibilities will include defining test plans, developing automated test scripts using industry-standard and internal tools, and executing tests in a firmware continuous integration environment. Additionally, you will be involved in triaging failures, reporting bugs, and assisting in issue isolation for the development teams. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate firmware for storage controller design - Define test plans and develop automated test scripts using various tools and platforms - Execute automated tests in a firmware continuous integration environment - Triage failures, report bugs, and assist in issue isolation for development teams Qualifications Required: - In-depth knowledge and extensive experience in embedded firmware development and validation - Proficiency in scripting languages, programming tools, and environments - Extensive programming experience in Python - Experience in the storage industry (SSD, HDD, storage systems, or related technology) - Understanding of storage interfaces such as PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS - Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage - Working knowledge of I2C, SPI, and SMBUS protocols (desirable) - Familiarity with Jenkins (preferred) - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Capability to work in a cross-functional team environment under multiple priorities - Experience in leading or supervising junior engineers and technicians (a plus),
