Principal System Engineer

As a Pre-Sales System Engineer at Fortinet, you will play a vital role in supporting the sales organization in all technical aspects related to pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales activities. Collaborating closely with a sales representative in south India to manage Public sector customers, your responsibilities will include: - Playing a crucial role in new business solution pitches, fostering long-term relationships, and achieving enterprise-wide deployments of Fortinet solutions. - Assisting in qualifying sales leads from a technical perspective during pre-sales activities. - Responding to RFP compliances, working on cross-references, and handling pre-bid meetings. - Serving as the main technical resource on sales calls, addressing customer inquiries on features, specifications, functionality, and integration. - Demonstrating proficiency in networking applications and solutions. Additionally, you will act as the lead technical contact for identified accounts post-sales, collaborating with the technical support escalation team and engineering to address and resolve customer technical issues. You will also participate in presentations for customers and partners, articulate the technical aspects of the Fortinet value proposition, contribute to case studies, white papers, and media articles, foster a collaborative environment, and pursue conflict resolution. Qualifications required for this role include: - 8+ years of experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer. - Exceptional presentation skills. - 5-7 years of experience in Network & Security. - Strong understanding of SDWAN, SDN, Cloud Security, Virtualization, NFV, etc. - Preferably experience working in an OEM environment.
