We are looking for someone with the enthusiasm and talent for creating solid, reliable, highly-polished UIs as we pride ourselves on the quality of our highly-interactive UI with its sharp, modern aesthetic. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key member of the development team that helps shape the capabilities of the product, create and define functional specifications, and ensure that the final product is of high quality and meets customer needs. As a Front-End Developer at Swimlane, you will inherit a well-architected, clean, and robust codebase built with TypeScript, Angular, and SCSS/SASS with a modern interface. You will work with our design team and other engineers to ensure our application is performant and intuitive to use. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and implementing new libraries and components, ensuring best practices are followed in the design and development of the application, contributing to and helping manage our open-source libraries, and mentoring other front-end engineers. Our ideal candidate will have experience with Web Components and Custom Elements, an understanding of data visualization concepts and technologies such as SVG and D3.js, familiarity with JavaScript build tools like Webpack, Git Source Control, unit and E2E testing experience, building responsive interfaces, a good sense for visually appealing products, some Node experience, experience with RESTful Web Service Architecture, and experience working in Agile Environments. To be considered for the Principal Software Engineer position at Swimlane, you should have a BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or a technology-related degree, or equivalent work experience, 8 to 12 years of progressive software development experience specialized in enterprise SaaS software, a deep understanding of building complex, single-page JavaScript apps using frameworks like Angular, NGx UI, and NgRx, fluency in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and SASS, enthusiasm for creating UIs, a clear understanding of what makes an interface easy to use, strong test automation skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.
