Principal Software Engineer - Backend - Distributed Systems

As a software developer at Salesforce, you will play a crucial role in impacting users, the company's success, and the industry by creating innovative features for our trusted CRM platform. Collaborating with a team of top-tier engineers, you will focus on enhancing scalability and efficiency while ensuring the delivery of high-quality products through architecture, design, implementation, and testing. Key Responsibilities: - Build new and innovative components to enhance scalability and efficiency in a rapidly growing market technology landscape. - Develop high-quality, production-ready code to serve millions of users. - Make design decisions considering performance, scalability, and future expansion. - Contribute to all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing. - Construct efficient components/algorithms in a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment. - Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and offer technical guidance to the team. Qualifications Required: - Mastery of multiple programming languages and platforms. - Minimum 15 years of software development experience. - Profound understanding and hands-on experience with distributed systems. - Strong grasp of Services Oriented Architecture. - Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages including C++, C#.Net, Java, Python, Scala, Go, and Node.JS. - Excellent understanding of RDBMS concepts and experience in developing applications on SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL. - Experience in developing SAAS applications on public cloud infrastructure like AWS/Azure/GCP. - Proficiency in queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, workload distribution, relational and non-relational databases. - Familiarity with software development best practices and demonstration of leadership skills. - Degree or equivalent relevant experience required, with assessment based on core competencies including extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.,
