Principal, Software Engineer-3

You will be responsible for coding, unit testing, and building high-performance and scalable applications that cater to the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers in the areas of supply chain management and customer experience. Your role will involve collaborating with Walmart International, which operates over 5,900 retail units in 26 countries, including Africa, Argentina, Canada, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, among others. Championing design thinking principles to ensure solutions meet user needs and business objectives will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, distributed enterprise applications using Java, Python, and ReactJS. Additionally, you will be involved in creating and maintaining technical architecture, aligning it with business goals, and ensuring scalability requirements are met. As part of your role, you will architect complex software systems, design and develop robust backend and UI components, and adhere to best practices and coding standards. Your focus will be on producing high-quality software through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration. Furthermore, you will develop comprehensive technical documentation and presentations to communicate architectural decisions and design options effectively. To excel in this position, you should possess a B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.S. in Computer Science or a relevant discipline, with at least 14 years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications and platform development. Strong computer science fundamentals, hands-on experience with technologies like Scala, Java, Springboot, Microservices, NodeJs, React JS, Angular Js, and knowledge of web services, databases, messaging systems, and cloud platforms are essential. Your role will also involve promoting and enforcing technical standards, driving engineering excellence, and fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, agility in adapting to change, and a practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology will be valuable assets in this role.
