As a Principal Software Architect u2013 Serviceability, you will own the architectural vision for intelligent serviceability spanning from device to cloud connectivity and serviceability across multiu2011product, multiu2011modality ecosystem. Youu2019ll translate strategy into platform architecturesu2014spanning medicalu2011grade device diagnostics and cloud implementation (AWS)u2014and guide adoption across teams to deliver reliable, compliant, and costu2011effective outcomes over a 12u201318 month horizon
Your Responsibilities
- Architect the serviceability platform: Define reference and platform architectures for medicalu2011grade device and cloudu2011based serviceability, including telemetry, diagnostics, secure remote access, overu2011theu2011air updates, and incident response workflows.u00A0
- Design deviceu2011centric serviceability: Specify and validate medicalu2011grade device service interfacesu00A0(APIs/diagnostic endpoints), local logging and remote software distribution strategies, service modes, fieldu2011service tooling, and connectivity workflows.u00A0
- Lead cloud implementation on AWS: Design and guide implementations leveraging AWSu00A0services (IoT Core, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, Kinesis, S3), with patterns for multiu2011tenant, compliant operations.u00A0
- Drive platform reuse and inneru2011source: Establish modular plugin frameworks and shared components to accelerate feature delivery across product lines.u00A0
- Coach architecture practices: Mentor teams on adaptive governance, architectural decision records (ADRs), and measurable nonu2011functional requirements (reliability, maintainability, observability, cost).u00A0
- Influence strategy & tradeu2011offs: Partner with product, R&D, DevOps, and customeru2011facing teams to align roadmaps, manage risks, and resolve escalations.u00A0
- Embed regulatory awareness: Ensure designs incorporate clinical/regional regulations, privacy, and datau2011residency/embargo considerations from the outset.

Required Skills and Experience
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.u00A0
- Industry experience 15+ years
- 10+ years in software architecture, preferably in healthcare or other regulated industries.u00A0
- Proven delivery of serviceability/diagnostics platforms, including remote monitoring, fleet/device management, and fieldu2011service workflows.u00A0
- Deep experience with platformu2011based architectureu00A0and plugin frameworks demonstrated inneru2011source leadership.u00A0
- Handsu2011on architecture and delivery experience with AWSu00A0for production systems.u00A0
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with a track record of guiding complex, multiu2011team initiatives.u00A0Business acumen and ability to differentiate and translate requirements from a platform perspective, ensuring scalability and reuse across product lines.
