Principal SAP BI Developer

Role Overview: As a SAP BI Developer at Cognex, you will join the Global SAP Business Intelligence team to play a vital role in developing and maintaining various SAP landscapes and products. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with business stakeholders, designing architecture, developing solutions, testing, implementing, documenting, and providing support. Your expertise in Data Warehousing concepts and proficiency in working with multiple SAP systems will be crucial for success in this role. You will also be expected to adhere to global standards, suggest architectural improvements, and integrate with third-party tools like Power BI. Key Responsibilities: - Independently deliver Reports/Analytics by liaising with business stakeholders for requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, documentation, and support - Establish and maintain effective relationships with the companys SAP applications owners, IT Infrastructure team, and Server/Network team - Cultivate strong partnerships with the Business to enhance value through data and analytics Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in BW4HANA Data Modeling using Eclipse or similar tools - Strong knowledge of Databases, structures, and data modeling - Excellent Troubleshooting skills in areas such as performance, data accuracy, load failures, and technical issues - SAP ABAP/4 debugging skills - SAP functional knowledge in OTC, FTM, PTP areas - Experience in designing SAP BW/4 hybrid models - Sound understanding of system architecture, primarily SAP focused - Motivated to innovate using technology and information - Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills - Analytical and problem-solving abilities - Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities - Team player with the capability to work independently and collaboratively across functions - Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please Note: Minimum education and work experience required for this role are a Bachelors Degree and 8+ years of experience in Information Systems or a related field. In-depth knowledge of SAP BW4HANA, Data Modeling techniques, solution design, and BW4HANA certification are highly preferred. Experience with SAP ERP business processes and a passion for Data Science thought leadership are encouraged.,
