Job Description

As a PRINCIPAL - QUALITY ENGINEERING at our company, your role within the WI QA group is crucial for enhancing our automation capabilities. Your responsibilities will include supporting the execution of our automation roadmap, collaborating with team members to build necessary infrastructure and tools across various technology stacks, and ensuring adherence to governance procedures and development standards. Key Responsibilities: - Translate business and systems requirements into technical requirements for automation and software tools & framework. - Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and software tools. - Actively contribute to planning, design, execution, and reporting of automation metrics and KPIs. - Adhere to software engineering principles in the development of automation software and ensure zero tech debt with sonar quality gate. - Apply test-driven/behavior-driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions. - Conduct white box testing when necessary. - Deliver accurate and maintainable code for automated test suite and software utilities. - Collaborate with technical resources to suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards. Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience in building automation test frameworks using Java, TypeScript, Cucumber, REST Assured, Karate. - Understanding of the software development process and experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Udeploy, Jenkins, Concourse). - Good analytical skills and ability to learn and adapt to new processes. - Proficiency in Automation Frameworks such as Behavior-Driven, Data-Driven, and Keyword-Driven. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work effectively with business customers and project team members. - Good interpersonal, relationship management, and facilitation skills. Additional Company Details: The Workplace Solutions team aims to enable the WI business in the US by collaborating with IT business partners. WI comprises various business lines, including Defined Contributions, Defined Benefits, Stock Plan Services, Health Care Group, and Health Savings Account. The team has developed technical expertise over the past decade within each business line, focusing on strategic new products and data engineering. Your expertise should include: - 10+ years of hands-on Testing experience, with proficiency in Java/TypeScript & Cucumber. - 5+ years of automation scripting experience (excluding record and playback). - 5+ years of experience in API/Webservices testing using REST Assured. - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. - Java/AWS/Azure certification will be a plus. - Knowledge of Performance testing or hands-on experience will be an advantage.
