Principal Machine Learning Architect

As a Principal ML Engineer at Ema, you will play a crucial role in shaping AI / ML initiatives that empower employees in the enterprise to be more creative and productive. You will lead the technical direction of GenAI and agentic ML systems, architect scalable production pipelines, define multi-year ML roadmap, integrate cutting-edge ML methods, optimize trade-offs, champion engineering excellence, mentor senior engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, influence data strategy, and drive system scalability and performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the technical direction of GenAI and agentic ML systems powering enterprise-grade AI agents. - Architect, design, and implement scalable production pipelines for model training, retrieval, agent orchestration, and evaluation. - Define and own the multi-year ML roadmap for GenAI infrastructure. - Identify and integrate cutting-edge ML methods into Emas products or infrastructure. - Optimize trade-offs between accuracy, latency, cost, and real-world reliability across the agent lifecycle. - Champion engineering excellence and mentor senior engineers. - Collaborate cross-functionally to align ML innovation with enterprise needs. - Influence data strategy to improve grounding, factuality, and reasoning depth. - Drive system scalability and performance for ML agents and RAG pipelines. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors or Masters (or PhD) degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field. - 10-12+ years of applied experience with ML techniques in large-scale settings. - Experience in building production ML systems at scale. - Exposure in Knowledge retrieval and Search space. - Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. - Strong understanding of the full ML lifecycle and computational trade-offs. - Excellent communication skills and experience mentoring senior engineers.
