Principal Engineer Marketing & CRM

Role Overview: As a Principal Engineer for the Marketing & CRM team, you will be responsible for driving the evolution of the cloud-native, SaaS-based platform serving banks and credit unions across the U.S. Your focus will be on providing technical vision, scalability, re-architecture, and modernization to ensure the platform's robustness, performance, and scalability in line with customer base and data growth. Key Responsibilities: - Own the architectural roadmap to evolve the multi-tenant, microservices-based SaaS platform into a scalable, reliable, and extensible product. - Define patterns and guardrails for micro frontends, backend services, and API design. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering Leaders to align technology vision with business goals. - Evaluate and introduce new technologies such as event-driven architectures, Kubernetes patterns, ML pipelines, and observability frameworks. - Mentor and elevate senior engineers, promoting engineering excellence and technical leadership. - Drive performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability in data and application layers. - Partner with Data Engineering teams to ensure platform supports advanced analytics and personalization capabilities utilizing Minerva, Databricks, and PostgreSQL. Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4 years in architectural leadership. - Proven experience in multi-tenant SaaS platforms, preferably in fintech, martech, or CRM domains. - Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architectures. - Hands-on understanding of data architecture including OLTP + OLAP integration, streaming, and warehousing. - Prior experience with event-driven or CQRS architectures is a plus. - Familiarity with banking/financial compliance or data privacy standards like GLBA and SOC2. - Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product and business stakeholders.,
