Principal Engineer/ Director - Physical Design

Role Overview: As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be at the forefront of technology innovation, pushing the boundaries to enable next-generation experiences and drive digital transformation for a smarter, connected future. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, and various other cutting-edge technologies to launch world-class products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to developing solutions that meet performance requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Experience with demanding PPA requirement of complex subsystem/SOC, place and route, IP integration. - Implementation of low power design including UPF, multi-voltage domains, and power gating. - Proficiency in ASIC design flows and methodology of Physical design. - Understanding of circuit design, device physics, and deep sub-micron technology. - Working on multiple Technology Offerings in advance technology nodes. - Good understanding of automation to drive efforts to improve PPA. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of Hardware Engineering experience. OR - Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of Hardware Engineering experience. OR - PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 6+ years of Hardware Engineering experience. - Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field preferred. - 15+ years of Hardware Engineering experience preferred. - 4+ years of experience with circuit/logic design/validation (e.g., digital, analog, RF). - 4+ years of experience utilizing schematic capture and circuit stimulation software. - 4+ years of experience with hardware design and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc. - 4+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
