Principal Construction Support Engineer

As a Principal Construction Support Engineer, your role involves interpreting internal or external business issues, recommending best practices, and solving complex Construction Support (Eng)-related problems. You will work independently with minimal guidance, leading functional teams or projects as a specialist in Construction Support (Eng). Your expertise in Construction Support (Eng) and broad knowledge within the Engineering function are essential for success. Key Responsibilities: - Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design based on project specifications, design codes, and standards - Apply in-depth skills to address complex problems and prepare detailed design calculations and analyses - Manage time effectively to meet objectives and forecast resource requirements as a Lead Engineer - Direct an Engineering team, lead the Discipline engineering design, plan Discipline execution on the project, and ensure compliance with standards and project-specific procedures - Interface with all disciplines to develop clash-free designs, provide technical direction, and review Designers" work - Review project schedules, attend meetings, and provide technical support for fabrication queries - Supervise assigned engineers, monitor costs, and assist in the maintenance of technical guidelines and standards - Develop communication and presentation skills, provide training to staff, and participate in standards development committees - Review and approve designs, analyses, evaluations, calculations, and procedures related to construction activities Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred) - 15-20 years of experience in oil and gas focusing on construction and installation design - Detailed knowledge of design techniques, analysis methods, and relevant standards, codes, and guidelines - Proficiency in project coordination and execution skills About the Company: With a legacy of over 100 years, we are driving the energy transition with a global team of more than 30,000 experts in 54 countries.
