Role Overview: As the Lead Engineering authority for projects/tenders related to Flexible A.C. Transmission Systems (FACTS) Technology aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS) Business, you will be responsible for driving the technical solution of projects/tenders with varying complexity levels. You will collaborate with different departments and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective delivery in line with contract specifications and quality standards. Your role will involve coordination with Project/Tendering team, Commissioning, Project managers, SCM, Civil/steel design functions, consultants, and end customers. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the technical solution in coordination with System Engineering, Primary/Mechanical Engineering, Secondary/Electrical Engineering, and Control Engineering departments - Evaluate risks and opportunities, and strategize mitigation plans for engineering disciplines - Interact with customers, contractors, and suppliers, attending project/tender meetings to present technical aspects - Collaborate and network with engineering colleagues, sharing best practices across projects and disciplines - Evaluate overall cost of engineering disciplines and obtain approval from Business Unit Head - Utilize standard processes, tools, and techniques, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business Qualifications Required: - B.E./B. Tech/M. Tech with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in any Engineering Discipline - Experience with Medium to High Voltage Projects in the Power System Industry - Knowledge of Power Systems equipment such as Power Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Instrument Transformer, Circuit Breakers, Disconnectors, and Surge Arrestors - Familiarity with International standards like IEEE/IEC/GIGRE - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills - Dynamic, proactive, and willing to grow within the organization - Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines within the organization - Team player with readiness to work across different countries - Fluent in English with good communication skills - High level of ownership and very good negotiation & persuasion skills Please note: This job posting also provides information for qualified individuals with disabilities who may require accommodations during the job application process.
