Job Description

A qualified teacher to teach Science to students of grade 3 to 5 and physics for grade 6 to 9.

Teacher should be experienced for at least 2 years.

To plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate science lessons to primary students with a focus on general science and introductory physics. The role involves fostering scientific inquiry, curiosity, and foundational understanding, while preparing older primary students for future secondary-level science.

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver science lessons to students in primary grades, including concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics.
  • Focus on foundational physics topics for upper primary levels (e.g., forces, motion, energy, electricity).
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Integrate practical experiments, hands-on activities, and digital tools to enhance understanding.
  • Encourage scientific thinking, questioning, and the scientific method.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate students’ varying academic abilities and learning styles.

Curriculum & Assessment

  • Develop lesson plans aligned with the school’s science curriculum and relevant standards (e.g., NGSS, Cambridge Primary Science).
  • Contribute to curriculum development and long-term planning for the primary science program.
  • Design assessments and evaluate student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on student performance and development.

Classroom Management & Environment

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Establish clear expectations for behavior and maintain positive classroom discipline.
  • Promote respect, curiosity, collaboration, and a love for science.

Professional Development & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other teachers, especially in STEM subjects, to plan interdisciplinary projects.
  • Participate in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay current with scientific developments and teaching practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Physics, or a related field (required).
  • Teaching qualification/certification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching science at the primary level (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of foundational physics concepts and primary pedagogy.
  • Experience with inquiry-based and student-centered learning approaches.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
