About the Institution

St. George’s College Mussoorie is a 172-year-old premier all-boys residential school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE). We are currently inviting applications for the post of Primary School English Teacher to join our dedicated academic faculty.

Responsibilities

• Teach English to primary classes focusing on reading, writing, fluent speaking and listening skills
• Develop age-appropriate engaging and interactive lesson plans
• Foster a love for language literature and creative expression
• Strengthen students’ vocabulary grammar comprehension and communication skills
• Use stories activities songs and visual aids to enhance learning
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and classroom activities
• Participate in co-curricular activities school events and assemblies
• Provide care guidance and support to young learners in a residential school environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English or a related discipline from a recognized university
• B.Ed. qualification (Compulsory)
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience preferably at the primary level
• Familiarity with the ICSE primary curriculum will be an added advantage
• Excellent command over spoken and written English
• Patience creativity and strong classroom management skills
• Willingness to contribute beyond classroom teaching in a boarding school setup
